This panorama was taken at Logans Beach in Warnambool, Victoria in early July when the migratory huge Southern Right Whales swim past the coast. (between June - September). This is reputed to be one of the best places for whale watching in the world. The Southern Right whales come to this sheltered location each winter to bear their young. Hence, Logans Beach is also known as a whale's nursery ! Incidentally, a whale momentarily popped up to the surface whilst this panorama was being taken, hence the excitement of the onlookers with binoculars and cameras !
