Mount Hotham lay claim to be Australia�s highest snow ski resort at 1861 metres above sea level. This panorama shot was taken on the way down from the Summit (Summit Run). It is a novice run for downhill skiers and snowboarders with a gentle slope. The Summit quad chairlift can be seen in operation. Taken during mid winter of a late start to the ski season, the average snow cover was a paltry 30 cm, so no gung-ho stuff for the moment ! Looking down from the summit is Hotham Village. |
