Simpson's Gap - a crack through the McDonnell Ranges

Simpson`s Gap, located near Alice Springs, as the name implies, is a natural gap in the West McDonnell Ranges. This panorama shows the gap in the background (where two persons are standing) and picturesque setting of an old aboriginal waterhole with white ash gum trees surroundings. This picturesque setting was made famous in a painting by an aboriginal artist.
