Taken during winter in Australia (June-Aug) in the heart of Bright�s town centre called Mafeking Square. The Memorial clock tower was erected in memory of those who fought and died in the Boer War in the town of Mafeking, Rhodesia in South Africa during 1899 � 1900. Bright was established in the 1850s at the height of the gold rush boom. After the gold rush era, saw the establishment of a sawmill industry. The early pioneers lined the streets with elms, chestnuts, poplars and scarlet oaks painting Bright in vivid colours during Autumn.
