This panorama was taken from the summit of the famous but mysterious Hanging Rock. Hanging Rock, a remnant of a volcano, is located in a rural setting about 80 kms to the north of melbourne. It was made world famous by the novel "Picnic at Hanging Rock" which highlighted the Rock`s aura of mystery by portraying the dissapearance of a group of schoolgirls in the early 1900`s. This was later made into a movie by the director Peter Weir. Bit like the "Blair Witch Project",Aussie version, mate ! Just that it was made years earlier ! Top that !
