This painting shows something of the range of food available in the big waterholes along the Maranoa River and its tributaries.
The Koories and Murries (Aboriginal tribes) today, still know where the good fishing places) are. In these deep waterholes, are plenty of guya (yellow bellied fish), warramba (long necked turtles) and fresh water eels. Also depicted are water lilies.
