After seeing and using the small changing compartments on Brighton , one may feel slightly claustrophobic. However, if you go to Fitzroy Gardens and visit Captain Cooks Cottage, you will wonder if the olden days British folks ever suffer from claustrophobia at all. This small (more like tiny) and very modest 300 year old cottage was brought over stone by stone from Yorkshire, England and reassembled It was the home belonging to Captain James Cooks parents. Captain Cook was the great sea navigator who discovered Australia near present day Sydney in 1770. Captain Cooks Cottage was brought to Melbourne in 1934 to mark the centenary of Melbournes founding (much to the chagrin of Sydnesiders, of course).
