The spanking brand new Museum of Australia was opened in late 2000. It is a museum with a big unconventional difference � exhibits are laid out and presented in a very modern, somewhat avant-garde and refreshing contemporary way. There is non of the stuffy and somber museum atmosphere. The avant-garde exterior of the building already suggest what was to come. It�s long sunshade along the walking path twists and twirls as an art-work, and finally becoming an integral part of the building. Inside, the heritage of Australia are creatively presented to INVOKE interest ranging from children to adults. Some of the exhibits include the preserved heart of Australia�s legendary race horse Phar Lap, and the baby clothing of Azaria Chamberlain, who was finally proven taken by a Dingo but the mother Lindy was wrongly convicted of sacrificial murder.
