This astounding view of the Three Sisters and Jamison Valley in the Blue Mountains was shot from the Echo Point lookout near Katoomba. You can see the famous Three Sisters rock formation on the left. Notice the bluish haze covering the valley...hence the name Blue Mountain. It is caused by vaporised eucalyptus oil from the leaves of countless gum a.k.a eucalyptus trees.
