Mount Hotham lay claim to be Australia’s highest snow ski resort at 1861 metres above sea level. This panorama shot was taken on the way down from the Summit (Summit Run). It is a novice run for downhill skiers and snowboarders with a gentle slope. The Summit quad chairlift can be seen in operation. Taken during mid winter of a late start to the ski season, the average snow cover was a paltry 30 cm, so no gung-ho stuff for the moment ! Looking down from the summit is Hotham Village. |
