Hey, mates and possums– we Aborigines have been here in Australia long,long,long before the Sydney Opera House and Bridge got built, Australia hosted the Olympics twice and long before Waltzing Matilda got sang. To further “rub the salt in”, we’ve been here also long before the ancient civilizations in the Middle East, Europe and the Americas flourished. The bottomline is that we’ve been here more than 50,000 years before European navigators FIRST visited the shores of Australasia or the first screening of the movie “Crocodile Dundee” in Hollywood. Ain’t that cool…?
